The Story of Project Dandelion x SEWA
SEWING SEEDS OF CHANGE
Project Dandelion is proud to partner with the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), an organization representing 2.9 million women working in the informal economy across India. SEWA’s mission is to ensure full employment and self-reliance for its members, providing security in work, income, food, and social benefits. As climate shocks disproportionately impact these women, SEWA has launched the "Swacch Akash" (Clean Skies) campaign, dedicated to building climate resilience and advocating for clean air, water, and soil.
To support SEWA’s vital work, Project Dandelion Shop offers a limited-edition collection of beautifully hand-embroidered kurtas, tunics, and scarves, crafted by SEWA’s artisan members. More than garments, these pieces reflect a commitment to women-led craftsmanship, climate-conscious fashion, and economic resilience. Every purchase directly supports these artisans in preserving their craft, securing sustainable livelihoods, and overcoming the challenges posed by climate change.
By joining forces with SEWA, Project Dandelion aims to amplify the voices of women in the informal economy and work toward a climate-safe world. Your contribution, whether through purchasing from Project Dandelion Shop or making a direct donation, helps sustain these artisans’ work and strengthens our collective mission for climate justice.
Together, we can build a livable future for all.
